@dansup I'm also not sure that I agree with allowing 50%+1 of users to impose their choice on everyone else if they already have the ability to not be exposed to the content they want to avoid.

@dansup It seems to me that you're making the right decision about federating with Threads: give them a chance, and give tools to Pixelfed's users to control interaction.

Maybe your communication could have been better, but you certainly don't deserve any abuse for that.

@dansup Hi I see no reason for you to apologise to anyone. You created Pixelfed and have run Pixelfed.social very well from my perspective. It’s no doubt a controversial topic and people on both sides of the debate feel strongly in their position. Can’t argue against democracy (mostly!) but I’m content with your decisions/explanations so far. If after a discussion those who dislike/cannot accept the decision of the community can choose to move to another instance. The beauty of the Fediverse!
