@Gargron Elon’s kid was in a car that was blocked and attacked by a nutter thanks to the doxxing of his location by bad actors. Even if it’s “public info” on some database, to broadcast it regularly on Twitter will only help stalkers. It serves no other purpose.

For Mastodon to support this doxxing (inc posting links on Twitter from official mastodon accounts) is not just spiteful, it is sinister and shows an unethical side to the management of this OSS software.

@Gargron unfortunately, since that's where a significant chunks of the companies I do business with conduct their "support", now, still have to go to Twitter if I need support.

Knowing what I know about Twitter's security, I'm not *real* happy that two of those companies are my banks' initial customer service entry-points.

@Gargron I deleted Twitter from my phone, finally. I still check occasionally via PC. My blood pressure is already starting to normalize. Elon is really a loose wingnut. Thanks for bringing us an alternative!
