This is a very effective way to show that the RTE camera isn't taking random snapshots, but is targeting specific views that have been requested by the team on Earth.

The "viewfinder" framing effects are a fine addition: they smooth the transition between cameras perfectly.

Oh yes, it saved the team a lot of time by helping them decide to do the South Seitah campaign and to abandon the Raised Ridges and Pilots Pinnacle ones, but it deprived us of the fun 🥴 I had already started speculating about that campaign 😆 (image)

This technique guides the eye to where the image is going to appear so it is ready to focus on the matching details; otherwise it's either erratic or needs a much longer delay and a conscious effort which feels unnatural and boring.
