This is a first for me. Flight had to wait so long in line to take off that it depleted so much fuel that they need to taxi back to the gate, refuel, and then get back in line to take off. Neat logistics.

@searls once had a 4-hour wait on the tarmac at Pearson because they couldn’t turn off the heating in the cabin. So they roasted us for 4 hours. It was a 90-minute flight to Moncton. Make it make sense.

@searls they should build some kind of tower that oversees all the things going on with the planes at the airport

@searls they should make hybrid electric planes that don't have that problem ...

(And they should, like, make electric planes, just in general - but sufficient battery tech isn't here yet)

@searls I once had a nine hour flight to Hawaii because they de-iced the airplane before boarding everyone so when we were ready to push back the wings had too much snow on them again

@searls That happened to me flying out of Miami in August once, 2nd time in line... it happened again, and they had budgeted for a 1 hour wait in line, and then the flight got routed around the Keys, which was longer than they had planned, so had to circle back again, and at that point the flight crew was out of time and they had to cancel the flight.
