Climate change is going to make Canada a nightmare for human habitation. Energy intensive throughout the entire year. It was already bad but imagine 45C with humidity, that's appalling.

The coldest I have ever experienced was in Calgary on new years. I don't remember the temperature, but after just a couple minutes outside, I could feel the heat draining out of my femurs!

@dansup The yearly amplitude is crazy. I remember when I lived a year in eastern Canada: 40°C maximum in summer, -40°C minimum in winter (real temperature, without windchill). Truly brutal. Now that I'm back to continental Europe, and older, even a -15/+40 swing seems too much and I long for a milder oceanic climate with -5/35 extremes.
