I still can't understand how something that's so frustrating to type on can be someone's primary device ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Like why would one voluntarily use their phone when they have a laptop in the same room

There is a book - series, actually, fiction - that started in I think the late 80’s, I read it in the 90’s, and it NAILED the rise of personal-pocket-communication AND the resulting social media hellscape we now have. A couple years before TB-L figured out a hyperlink.

I find reviewing these prescient things fascinating, if a little depressing.
