🎉 #Mastodon 4.0 is out now! This server software update includes a ton of improvements, like following hashtags, translating posts, editing, an improved filtering system, customizable user roles for administration, but also some important security fixes.

Users of electronicmusic.social: I'll likely update to Mastodon 4.0 later this week. If I can manage it, I'll migrate the server to Kubernetes on GCP at the same time. (It's currently just running on a GCE VM.)

@Mastodon Concerning 2FA, I'd like pages to let us preference which type of 2FA we'd prefer to log in with, and which are kept in reserve should we have difficulty.

I have also considered if if it might be possible to use a lock which the user chooses to use which stops e-mail, password and 2FA from being changed for 12 hours after a new login.
