@dansup I like this, but I’m reminded of those craigslist ads asking people to come pick something up for free that never get anyone show up, because people associate the cost with the quality of the product. A $20 mini fridge is a steal, but an identical $0 mini fridge must be junk. The people who would be attracted by crowdfunded social media will react to “free” with skepticism, and the people who don’t care will just stick with Facebook. Mention how it’s funded and it becomes interesting.
