Multilingualism is one of the founding principles that make Europe unique.

With 24 official languages, the EU is a cultural kaleidoscope!

On the European Day of Languages, let's come together to celebrate this richness!

Speaking languages is the key to:
- opening up new worlds
- broadening your horizons
- forging deeper connections

This post is in English, but we're fluent in all languages!

@EU_Commission “To have another language is to possess another soul.”

Multilingualism always enriches. It should be cherished and encouraged.

@EU_Commission Why don't you take advantage of the post language tag and start publishing your messages in all 24 languages from now on?

>Multilingualism is one of the founding principles that make Europe unique.

Polyglot multinational polities are hardly new and definitely not unique. There are several current examples that far outpace the EU's myriad tongues

>While India has 22 separate official languages , it is home to a total of 121 languages and 270 mother tongues.

>There are over 800 languages spoken in Indonesia according to the 2010 census.

A minha pátria é a língua portuguesa disse o grande poeta português Fernando Pessoa.
