I can debate that the web interface is an app on its own. Since I still couldn't find up-to-date and awesome client compatible with Linux, it's the only way I access Mastodon besides Tusky on Android.

@mobilizon is such an unfortunate name, honestly. Present it to Russian males, and they'll be going away from it like stray cats. 馃槀

@Gargron :fistbump:
Hell, it may have been as trivial as to make quoted posts appear above the booster. But I'm not sure myself. Good to have you on board with changes!
Sorry to see people bashing your old toot. Apparently, they are yet to learn that opinions are not immutable.

I'm just that man who thinks that #introductions are cheesy and serve to shred any modesty left to the person with bunch of #SelfPromotion #hashtags. But hey, maybe it will change, and I'll do a proper #introduction of mine some day.
Good mention about #languages filtering at #Mastodon. I saw some people posting with wrong #language - and they wondered where is all support.
Equally nice catch on the lack of #QuoteReplies and #QuoteBoost. It can and will be abused. Separate links make up for user's switch of context.
However, I don't have a feeling that half of other advices will help gain followers. It's just a happy coincidence that people discover my posts, but I don't think it would be quite easy without tags or leaving my replies on trending topics. :robotok:

@Mastodon Web 4.2 has been released.
Loving accessibility things such as bigger link previews, padded out context menus, focus change indication, and working thread indication (consequent nested replies still look disconnected from parent, though). Also, collapsed closure hashtags are bae - assumption that hashtags in the end of post are meant for better discoverability (as opposed to something we would like to consciously read) is always the correct one and I'm glad it's taken care of. #Mastodon is a ma卯tre of microblogging, so I hope more similar platforms take this into consideration now that it's a thing out of beta.
Looks like a big improvement to me! 馃憤

@feditips I'd say it's the opposite that *confused* me, personally. I looked in their channels through PeerTube and noticed that both channel and account are barely different.
But the advise is right on the money - first and foremost, you would want to maintain your channel's brand on Fediverse, rather than what could be a simple Mastodon microblog for your personal posts.

@dansup That's good, because the default pagination is such a PITA.

@dansup But it's just one popular instance, no? Not sure that I'm fond of the new posts count as a raw metric of growth, either. You're probably right on the money with the spam theory.

OK, yes, but how do I vote for all except official Mastodon mobile app? (Nvm, alt accounts to the rescure.)

I found alt-text quite convenient for just explaining images to anyone, visually impaired or not.

It's good to have "Trending" as a less advertised feature, because I couldn't care less about what's popular. It would be nice if niche quality posts got the traction to spread the attention evenly.

I just tested today that, when I reported recent spammer's comment on my #PeerTube video and the report was hastily approved, that sick comment didn't federate throughout most servers. Email notification was timely, hehe. In other scenario, it would likely still be visible to users of wider #Fediverse, as what I witness with one that I was slower to catch on.
