So what's the best way to discover new folks outside of your own server?

@feditips appreciate all the fedi tips.

One thing I just don't get is when I look at someone's profile I can't see their follows/following - it feels like that should show up with a simple call to the other server.

Also told to use # tag search but that only works on your local server, right?
