Let's wait a couple of weeks. I am a total open source-, open standard- and open platform-fan. But let's wait if this is a trend or just a hype.
If Musk is serious to abandon censorship, it might imply to accept misinformation, and end with the platform being swarmed with alt-right, driving away a lot of current userbase.
But if Mastodon becomes mainstream, does it have any mechanism to do better than Musk Twitter and defend against misinformation?
