correction: boosting works but I don't think it's updating the post count.

@dansup @vmstan I just tried changing the number from 40 to 100 in my client and to my surprise Mastodon still accepts it (but not pixelfed). I'll stick to the spec, though.

@dansup @pixelfed It's invaluable for developing fediverse clients, everytime I hear about a new platform, how many instances and users are there, do I need to worry about supporting it, where can I find an instance to test on?

@dansup You want to get all your ducks in a row before submitting it for final app store approval, too. If you're unlucky enough to get a reviewer who just decides they don't want to approve it, you may end up waiting another four years!

Not a big deal, 20 is the mastodon default (although I was thinking of doing a platform check to choose a per-platform max). Probably same issue with bookmarks.
