@feditips yeah but the feature is barely functional in v3. I have to type in every single user to add, instead of just listing them all and letting me click a plus symbol. it'll get there. just saying that it's not very useful yet.

@darius 100% agree. I've been vetting accounts since I started this instance in 2018 and the amount of robots I've seen is scary. to think that all those robots and strange accounts just walk right in on the larger instances is kinda scary.

and we've already had mastodon.social blacklisted by some AV vendor because someone used their profile for C&C. so it's just a ticking time bomb.

@Gargron I'm not sure you'll see this but I had a UX issue with Mastodon 4. here is a common situation, someone sends me a link to a mastodon profile. I click on it and it opens in my browser. since I'm not a member of the user's instance when I click Follow I used to get a pop-up that allowed me to enter my instance and follow. but now I get a cryptic (to me) modal that only links me back to the same user profile. useless if you're on web, but I guess in an app it would open.
