Winning at life - got a free pair of prescription computer glasses via a work benefit - used the prescription to order some more cheap ones to leave in the office and at my desk :)

They're a bit owlish (I mean large for my face, but I don't really care when I'm at the computer, and it keeps the frame away from my field of view) but comfortable, light, and bright 🤓

Just realised that on Mastodon, boosting *is* the algorithm.

There's no code trying to cleverly show me stuff it reckons I'd be into, based on what my contacts are into, instead my contacts are saying "I like this, I bet my contacts would like it too" and that is way smarter than any algorithm.
