@EU_Commission all good but futile if the EU falls apart. Defend democracy first and deal with subversion of it by billionaires

@EU_Commission All this promotion of a SOTU address by a "President" plays into the hands of Europhobes who regard the EU as a sinister plot to subsume the identities and authority of member states, and as such may be counterproductive.
An EU TV channel with slots for national broadcasters is long overdue btw.

@EU_Commission Web 3.0? Nope.
I would be far keener on seeing the EU use its regulatory power to influence the web we already have than trying to invent a new one (not really an EU competence and there's no democratic mandate for it). Better to curtail the evils of surveillance capitalism before it destroys democracy and the planet. You should know very well who to support to effect this. Let's have GDPR 2.0 w enforcement not Web X.0 please.

@EU_Commission An appalling misstatement. Ireland was never in conflict with NI.
Instead, there was civil conflict in NI between ethnically British descendants of colonial settlers and native Irish people who, after the imposition of partition on the island under threat of "immediate and terrible war", endured decades of discrimination and oppression.

@EU_Commission I fully agree with the following and as an information professional will resist and subvert in any way I can. As a supporter of the EU I request reconsideration. You don't fight terrorism by facilitating mass violation of privacy. The Thinkst Canary approach (https://canary.tools) would be more appropriate (both proportional and effective).
