1st cut of the new edition of Everyday Rails Testing with RSpec should be ready this week! Here's what to expect:

- 1st 4 chapters: Intro, setup, testing models, basic DRY tools
- Sample code so far
- Rails 5.1 edition available as reference and social proof that I’m good for finishing this 😅
- Bugs and errata: Not letting perfect be the enemy of done

I do all my own writing and editing, so thanks for your patience, kindness, and support!

@noelrap Tech Done Right was a consistently great podcast, and that episode has particularly stuck with me all this time. (I was surprised how long ago it had ended.)

I published a new post today about the "failure" of system tests, and what to do about it. Let me know what you think, and as always, boosts are appreciated! everydayrails.com/2024/06/01/r

@noelrap I buy it. A long time ago I scored a hand-me-down Mac IIci with a grayscale, portrait-oriented monitor. It became my go-to writing device. The display was great, but also helped with avoiding internet-related distractions.
