Surely there has to be some stat, or rule of thumb that a certain percentage of those are only sign ups, and never come back, and duplicates on different servers...
and a certain percent will stick around.... etc, etc...

Yeah, it's my understanding the lack of the magnetic field is what trashed Mars atmosphere.
Always causes big "what ifs" thoughts.
