@sturmsucht @oblomov @dansup Mastodon added a ton of non-specified on top of ActivtyPub. PixelFed is recently partially compatible but it鈥檚 got its own layer on top of AP.

Protocols on the internet are layered. We鈥檙e talking about layers within layer 7.

@dansup the point of the slide was to say people keep reinventing the wheel. There is an air table version you鈥檙e welcome to help keep up to date. Later on I get in to categories of these protocols and projects. There are many sometimes compatible protocols built on top of AP. In a big list on this one slide without what I said, you lose all the context.

I just had a comment removed from instagram for violating their community standards. Apparently they think I鈥檓 spamming for mentioning Unicode I guess. Honestly I鈥檓 not sure. It was in response to a instagram rule asking why the kiwi bird isn鈥檛 an emoji.

I posted it once, and to a instagram post from someone I鈥檓 following. I don鈥檛 think I鈥檝e made a comment about Unicode or emojis on instagram before.

This is crazy.

@dansup super interesting. What鈥檚 the implementation under the hood? Is there an AP groups spec?
