Usually, if users select specific instance - they know what they're doing.

What you can do as a developer is maybe show most popular/trusted ones at the start.

@dansup @pixelfed I've looked at the source code once and it's PHP, so i just ran the other way :)

But, last time i've used PHP was 10+ years ago, and it was awful. If you managed to get such good project with it, means PHP improved a lot while i was looking at python :)
