@dansup @pixelfed Instagram does something similar with Threads and it can be annoying. But as long as it can be turned off it's fine by me. I would much rather join Loops than Threads anyway.

@dansup I was just thinking as I was reading the blog post that having actual human reviews of flagged content is probably worth much more to the end user than a cutting-edge mostly-good ML system.

@dansup @pixelfed I like it, I think it's way easier to read. Maybe hiding them by default could be nice. Or even make the amount shown configurable lol.
Would it affect inline #hashtags too? Or just end-of-the-post dumps?

@dansup @loops nice! How do these applications go? Have you applied to grants before? It's a long shot for me because I don't really have a lot of fedi dev experience (or any major OSS experience) but this sounds awesome. And I don't usually make use of these oppurtinities.

@dansup I'd love if verification on the fediverse was based on domain names (though not everyone will host their own instance) but as long as there's a good verification process I wouldn't mind this.
Also the list could be made decentralized anyway, though then that'd kinda go against the goal of you getting the money. :P

@dansup @Chocobozzz I'm a bit conflicted about integrating short videos because I'm pretty sure IG reels & YT shorts only exist to compete with tiktok. But stories also exist for similar reason and I'm fine with that, so maybe an optional integration with every service could be nice. And if PT has shorts then federation would be absolutely amazing.
