@nateberkopec @gvwilson is a cool dude and I think there is a lot of good stuff that just hasn’t been lifted up. Agree some of the attempts to quantify code quality is a bit of a stretch but plenty of other interesting things to ponder there.

@nateberkopec Sure there are some questionable methods out there (which is why it's important to read the papers) but there is value to applying the scientific method to the work our profession does. The work of academics can help practitioners filter out the signal from the noise and provide evidence and support for new practices that management might deride as unproven.
