I have to admit I’m totally new with the concept. Was already thinking a long time ago to join Twitter but this option is now totally out of my mind since that Musk weirdo took it over.
I decided to put my effort in getting familiar with Mastodon, first impression is good!

@Gargron Interesting post Eugen, I fully agree. As someone new here I have to say what confused me the most on Mastodon is indeed the so called #ContentWarning 🙈 Still it makes not much sense in my opinion given the at least for me 🤷‍♂️ sometimes “strange” reasons to put a CW. So I noticed that in 99.99% of the case I even do not even open anymore a post with a CW. For me it’s nice to see in one glance all post so I can decide to read it or not but with CW 🤷‍♂️ it remains a black box.

@feditips @tilvids I had absolutely no experience with Mastodon but 🤷🏻‍♀️ it was more or less easy to start (only “issue” was that you needed to select a server but I discovered it doesn’t matter which one you choose they all work) and I really ❤️ it now. For me it’s even easier because I do not want to think about or compare it with Twitter because that manipulative Musk program is history 🤷🏻‍♀️ #MastodonIsGreat #DitchTwitter #JoinMastodon #MastodonIsEasyToUse

@EU_Commission I don’t like an #Algorithm deciding for me what I will see online. 🤔 I think it’s also not good to see only exactly what you like. It narrows your #Mind Puts you finally inside an #ArtificialBubble not representing the world around us. And killing all kind of discussions. Luckily it seems that #Mastodon doesn’t have such an algorithm “yet”.
