@kandid These are perfectly fine, and very nice, I might add.
Our rule about it is this: "AI Images: Please do not use vis.social to share your creations from text-to-image tools such as MidJourney or Stable Diffusion. We welcome critical discussion of these tools, particularly about the legal and ethical issues surrounding these tools and the implications for artists and society"

@Gargron Thinking about it, and your reasons...I think you are right. And I thank you.
For me, I used the quote-tweet to amplify and emphasize issues I face as a woman in tech+art+science. But we can all find other ways to amplify/boost in more healthy ways.
The challenge for me, sometimes, is that it's hard to form words to explain why something really resonates for me. And that is what I used quote-tweet for. With my comment being "This!"

@Gargron dude, we're all to tired. and the last week+ has been both exhausting and exhilarating.
Every instance admin and moderator is doing their best to help at this time.
We all thank you. And will probably have new feature requests.....me? I'd like more robust moderation tools to protect my instance....the ability to block a whole instance of nazis from my instance would be super helpful.
but...still...thank you!!!!
I'm an engineer, I can't help but ask for more features. ha!

@Gargron it's not trivial at all! Doing it safely, will take a lot of people hours to actually moderate, and software support for actually doing that moderation... and more!
The reasons for not having them are valid. So are the reasons for having them.
I would strongly suggest seeking guidance from folks like @timnitGebru and others she recommends.
We can make a difference and build software that supports human efforts to do better. We just need to listen, and listen again.

@darius @rysiek @timnitGebru You don't have to report to the harrassers server. But if you report it to the mods of your own instance, they can keep track on if the harrassers entire instance should be blocked.

I have a question for fellow instance Admins and anyone who knows more about the technical side of Mastodon: So, we can, as individuals, set our default post privacy as 'unlisted'. Can Admins set this as the instance-wide default?

For #SciArtSeptember, I'll be sharing some past works as well as trying to create new art inspired by the prompts. Maybe even some in-progress works.
I'm seriously looking forward to seeing what everyone posts for it.
Here's the promot list: https://www.patreon.com/posts/110774653
I'm also going to use my #SciArt tool for adding watermarks. I published it on itch.io and it's free to use: https://artatomic.itch.io/prompts

Oh! It's #PortfolioDay
I'm an Artist and Computer Scientist who creates with code, data, and a glass dipping pen. My inspirations come from Science, Math, and the world around me.
