@EU_Commission yet somehow Meta and Alphabet are still allowed to operate in the EU.

@EU_Commission True to its word? Maybe. But it certainly took long; long enough to stall, then halt the initiative, allow Putins military and mercenaries to take the initiative and go in the offensive, and long enough to put the strategic positions at Avvdiivka at risk due to lack of supplies.

I don’t know about too little; probably. But late? Certainly. Too late? Probably.

@EU_Commission I applaud the push towards a kinder, cleaner fascism-repellant EUv2.

So what is the path of actions vis a vis sanitation of the totalitarians regimes currently part of the EU? The openly fascist regimes in it? The EU-members at the brink of falling and/or surrendering to fascism?

Intentions no doubt well meant, but how to view then against the backdrop of Orbán, Meloni, the AfD nazis marching again in Germany, Le Pen, the imminent descent of the Netherlands into fascism?

@EU_Commission And this growth somehow “benefits for everyone”, even though the prime issue we’re facing is actually *not* how we can possibly speed up the climate catastrophe.

@EU_Commission In all fairness, that growth consists entirely of electronic mopeds (“e-bikes”) which are miscounted as bikes rather than actual bikes. Maybe not the best of news, then.

@EU_Commission we’re not burning up the planet fast enough. That’s why we need to capitalize on funneling extreme wastefullness vis a vis startups seeking to escalate and exacerbate societal degradation. Promptly.

@EU_Commission Ah, yes. We have but a few months left to stop the rolling snowball gathering momentum and while we’re not doing actually very much now, we have a lot of plans and hope to get to the point where we should have been 30 years ago in the next 20 years or so. Plans are being made!

@EU_Commission Too little, too late. We’re still sleepwalking toward environmental armageddon.

@Gargron as in, like what Microsoft did with email and many more open protocols (may they rip), and Google and Meta themselves did and do with the (once open) web? History repeats, I’d say. Embrace. Extend. Externinate.
