@tenderlove @searls I find that if I can’t clearly convey the change and its purpose in written form then the change is probably bad.
I forget who said “writing is thinking; to write well is to think clearly,” but I really feel it. I can’t tell you how often I go back and modify the code after trying and failing to write a clear commit message.

@searls Good post. In my experience, people start out thinking that GraphQL is going to save them from having to understand how a client will use their API, but soon learn that it actually requires them to understand every possible way any client could ever use it.
Turns out the old way is easier!
