I find it odd that Bulgaria is not invited. They're located enterely further south than some of the attendees, and they are a significant energy partner to Greece (which is invited), being currently the only EU country sharing a land border with Greece.

@EU_Commission I remember that moment. I was 10 years old at the time, and I was living about an hour from Verdun. I didn't understand quite yet why it was a big deal, but I could feel that it was. Against all the rigid formal protocol for interactions between heads of state, that minute felt surprisingly human.

@EU_Commission That's awesome news. Having to change trains is painful, especially on international routes, and this will help. One more step toward avoiding air travel, for sure.
Personally, I'm excited about that Venice - Paris option, which can give me a reason to connect in Venice between train and ferry on the way from Greece to France.

I hope that the implementation of the digital driving license can properly handle the different alphabets that are in use in the EU, and that it doesn't fully replace the physical ones. In the bigger picture, I'd love to see a unification of road traffic rules across the union, since inconsistencies are a source of danger (e.g. roundabouts in Greece).
