A so-called "AI-powered social network start-up" has started cloning posts from across the Fediverse without asking permission. You can find out more in this discussion thread:

You might want to defederate from Maven, the domains to suspend are:
maven.ly
heymaven.com
This defederation will be much more effective if you have "authorized fetch" switched on, more info about it at https://fedi.tips/authorized-fetch

Hey Mastodon admins 馃憢
The "Authorized Fetch" (aka "Secure Mode") option makes your instance blocks more effective and better protects your users.
It has previously had a reputation for being incompatible with non-Masto servers and older Masto servers. However, I'm not sure it deserves that reputation any more?
I switched on Authorized Fetch last year and asked for feedback via a different instance. Only one person had problems, and their instance was on homebrew software.

A little-advertised bridge just appeared between the Fediverse and Twitter founder Dorsey's new social network. It intends to bridge accounts that don't opt out.
Doing this as opt out is a pretty immoral thing to do. Also unclear how legal opt-out bridges are in some countries. The bridge is using these domains:
snarfed.org
brid.gy
Server admins may want to defederate these to prevent their members being bridged without their knowledge or permission.
