@darius uh one more dumb question - where exactly are the fields of https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams#Event defined? I just see the link back to https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#dfn-event which has an example

There is a schema.org event, https://schema.org/Event

but the activitystreams event just inherits all properties from Object so its basically just a type?

But if I want my stuff to be picked up by gath.io, are there clues somewhere? does gath.io want to pick up my events?

@darius @mfoster hey Mark looping you in, i don't think the answer is schema.org - the answer has to be lightweight and a thing that was already adopted - where would you suggest that eithe whatscookin or gath.io (am I saying taht right) should publish our lightweight spec?

@darius hey Darius is there an ActivityStreams like vocabulary for events? We also produce events from app.whatscookin.us and would love to output them in a friendly schema

@darius @mfoster Nice, I'd want to support that. I think we might need to add a couple fields for standard things about events - start/end time, location, link ?

If we standardize names of those fields then we can even display federated events and add them to calendars?

It might be a month or so before we have dev time to make changes, so no rush, but would def like to actually do this the simplest possible way...
