@Gargron @stux @oakstudios Thanks! I would have gotten 0 servers with the filter on.

Small layout bug: The labels for the apps don't fit, e.g. the text for "Whalebird" is too long to fit the button.

@Gargron My gut feeling tells me that that demand is coming mostly from people who came over here from Birdsite last year. Because the other site had it is not a good reason for introducing it - you should look at the quality of the demand, not the quantity.

One of the things that makes the conversations in this place more friendly is that we to NOT have this feature. Individually opting out will not fix the problems it introduces by people talking ABOUT instead of TO each other.

@EUSPA 👏 for including Africa. And for not needing 42000 satellites to do this.

@feditips @truhe And another bit I forgot: If your server has the full-text search feature installed, you can always search your own posts, even if you have opted out.

And only public posts will be indexed, so if you want to hide an individual post from the search feature but still publicly viewable, just set it to "Unlisted".

@Mastodon Thanks for the new version!

The upgrade instructions still need some TLC though mastodon.scot/@gunchleoc/11066

@dansup We can expect them to collect data on remote profiles for their ad business and not just from profiles on their own server.

This is not -Compliant, because the people on my server did not consent to this during signup, so, I'd definitely defederate them not just for moral but also for legal reasons.

@feditips How about replacing the mastodon.social button with a "random server" button to put them on any general-purpose instance that has open registrations? That should spread people around more @Gargron
