That’s kind of my point … a point that Ashton Applewhite talks about all the time at https://thischairrocks.com
1) Age is relative.
2) Pete Townsend still performs My Generation at an age that is nearly three times that of what he considered ‘old’ when he wrote the song.

3) My mother never expressed any interest in using technology … she was younger than my father, who was fascinated by all things tech until he died.
4) My father had more interest in tech through his entire life than my daughter has ever had in hers.

All of this to say … that I think your age / generational segment has as much to do with being technologically savvy than your star sign or your Myers Briggs classification (Chris Lockhead talks about being a ‘digital native’ … ie those people that have only known life with the internet/computer-in-your-pocket) … and the threads of thought are interesting … but being a digital native does not make you tech savvy. And neither does your age.

BUT - and back to your original point …
YES - Language is massively important and I fully agree with your sentiments when you write “no human wants to be 'digitally transformed'. By using this terminology the mindset get to be all wrong. We need humane technology and that means it is unobtrusive and designed to be supportive.”
BUT
it isn’t just the “Elderly nowadays (that) get totally lost in cyberspace!”
