@Gargron @oakstudios the play store badge is the old one on
joinmastodon.org/de/apps
I think it'd be better to use the new one:
play.google.com/intl/en_us/bad

@dansup since Loops will be federated, how does it play the videos? Are they stored on each instance or only on the one where the video was posted?
And if they're only stored on the remote instance, does that leak the ip or does the client use a proxy when streaming?

@Mastodon seems like a lot of cool changes!
I have one question/suggestion though:
Couldn't your server or client app just pass your server domain when opening remote posts or profiles as a parameter in the url?
Like that : ${url}?orgserver=chaos.social

@dansup I think there's something wrong with the header on devices with low width

@feditips nononononono @Gargron why???
I understand that this makes it easier for people to join for people who don't know what the fediverse is and how it works, but come on. Why mastodon.social?
Why not show a random server that complies with some rules like the ones you have on joinmastodon.org?
Or why not make a contest, or a voting or something else?
mastodon.social already is big and this will just harm the fediverse in the long term
