Most artists in this world don't actually want to make money. They have to earn something to survive, but they don't really want to.

What they want is to make beautiful things. They want to make a difference to this world. They want to share a connection with other humans. They want to express their lived experiences. That's what draws us to art, not money or fame. Making money at all is a distraction to the creative process.

Artists mostly want to make the world a better place.

Bulguksa Temple in South Korea. Just a very lovely place for photography and contemplation.

Well that was really quite marvellous. The best southern aurora I've ever seen, and from Daylesford in Victoria no less. Wonderful to join in the fun this evening.

We were not prepared at all, just happened to step outside during our food photography workshop as things were kicking off and I got to share it with Shellie and our group :)

Norfolk Island. A little bunch of rocks in the Pacific. Presently regarded as part of Australia, unless you live there.

Big thanks to the folks over at MakerTube who let me join their PeerTube instance and migrate my YouTube content across. All happened quickly and easily.

Still finding my way around the system, but it looks very smart and a comfortable space for a YouTube fella. I'll be making sure everything I send to YouTube will also be watchable on PeerTube as well.

Slowly working my way through a few terabytes of timelapses shot in Feb and March.

Just after dinner we saw auroras poking through gaps in the cloud. I setup my first camera outside the rental cabin, pointed across the fjord to capture the clouds rolling by.

For the next hour I was helping my FIL shoot the more active auroras in the east. And didn't realise that my cloud timelapse was turning into an aurora timelapse :) Huge win.

I get the feeling you're really enjoying this moment in time Daniel, and it's marvellous to see.

Thankyou for everything you're doing to make this world a more inclusive and connected place.
