Also - it can help to understand what the feeling of loneliness is about.

In some ways that is obvious - loneliness is the want of company (the feeling of missing out, being left out, socially)

Loneliness is completely natural - though sometimes nature (our feelings) can be a little bit outdated. And with a little bit of insight - those feelings can be mitigated (updated)

Sometimes it only takes a small readjustment in thinking - to appreciate the company that everyone always has. Themselves.!

People can feel lonely in crowds of people. And that feeling can be mitigated if someone shows that person a friendly gesture.

Ask yourself this question - who knows you like no other?

You!

So - be kind to yourself & you will, in general, be kind to others also. Sometimes - good people choose to be alone because the "crowd" doesn't interest them. Other times - the "crowd" is more like them.

To quote "There are lots of people (myself included) keeping each other company on there"

And of course - mastodon is ideal for connecting people that share similar interests (social norms and values)

@EU_Commission

Wouldn't you say that the fossil fuel dependent societies has caused those disasters? And that the global economy is general investing in many business models, for example, the airline industry, that will make those disasters more frequent & common.

The question must be considered, is capitalism, where the rich generally dictate the social narratives, the economic system that is the fundamental cause of the ecological disaster.

Are, for example, the symptoms of the exploitation of people and planet, by definition, capitalism. And why haven't capitalists regulated themselves?

Why would they? (When it's all about the money for a capitalist)
