This is fantastic news, I am so excited to hear about new initiatives to further the open web and the critical infrastructure that underpins it.

For so long we've had innovation in this space funded by silicon valley money and incentives, and it's high time somebody stood up and said that model isn't working for the common person.

@dansup @pixelfed all joking aside, supporting multiple databases is no small feat! Good work 馃槉

@dansup @pixelfed hey, get back to me when your project supports Redis, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL 馃槈

@dansup @pixelfed is that via UnifiedPush or something? I vaguely recall ntfy does that too haha, but I could be mistaken.

@dansup @pixelfed did you want push notifications? I found using ntfy.sh was the easiest dead simple way to get notifications going for

@darius yes! I 100% agree with this.

For my projects, we value speed and efficiency. If the site can't load on a 3G connection, it's effectively broken outside of the first world.

While I don't have a $100 Android phone as my daily driver, I also don't use the latest Pixel or Apple device.

@dansup I guess you could say...

@feditips that's hilarious, imagine being so scared that you start barring the doors and blocking people from leaving.

Reddit death spiral, and I'm here for it.

@dansup I'd encourage you to publish the source code sooner rather than later because of one neat benefit:

It keeps you honest.

@nodebb has FAR fewer and workarounds because the source is open and that kind of shit would get called out immediately 馃槀
