@feditips now if only my mastodon account could double as a peertube account

@feditips I've been trying to figure out the difference between the buttons. I know the arrows means boost which reposts the toot and spreads it to more people. Then there's the favourite and bookmark button and I'm not sure what they do.

@feditips I tried Tusky shortly but ended up sticking with the official Android app. I like the layout better and didn't see enough advantage to Tusky to make the switch

@dansup @pixelfed please add a search bar or button to the discover page. The overall intention of "trying to find new content" makes them make sense together

@dansup @loops I think infinite scroll could be optional. Like people can pick between having a chrono/following feed or an algo/infinite-scroll feed as their default home feed

@dansup this was the thing that bothered me the most about the pixelfed app. Happy to see it fixed

@dansup @pixelfed @mspsadmin I like this idea. But having two pictures on the screen at the same time is distracting I think. Having one picture centered on the screen surrounded by white framing would look better and be more distraction free. And I think you'd want assisted scrolling to make that work well

@dansup @loops hey I think I put my email down wrong when I filled out the form to beta test. I'm not sure if I got my response in early enough to join the beta but if so can I give you the correct email?

@dansup @loops please do not. That is one of the most annoying things about tik tok and the others. I know it's good for marketing, but I hate not being able to download a clean version of a video that I created

@dansup personally I like the text. The text option seems like it has bigger touch targets.

The icons don't seem to be from the same design language which is definitely part of why I'm not looking the icon option as much

@dansup I like it. If you were to go with a limit on the number of videos, it would be cool to gain more videos the older your account is. That way spam accounts can max post one video and older accounts are rewarded with more video slots.

If you do this though, I would want an option to automatically post the videos to a peertube account. I put a lot of effort into most of my videos so I wouldn't want them to disappear forever.

@dansup I believe that any kind of engagement with comments should not be a factor in the algorithm. Sometimes I comment because I like something, but sometimes I comment to express disagreement, and that should not contribute positively to the algorithm. Since there is no way to know the sentiment of that comment interaction, comments just shouldn't be a factor.
