My (limited) understanding is that Mastodon sends the text in text notes but for things like video does not send the actual video but rather a link to the video.

I'm wondering if we could move away from the term "account migration" or "transferring your account." I feel like, since we can't move any of our content to a new server, it can be really frustrating for new folks to find that out after being told "everything is awesome! You can totally move your account to a new server!" Because when the average not-in-the-loop person hears "transfer your account" that sounds to them like transferring everything. And that is not the case.
