@dansup serious reply: I'm still trying to figure out how I view fedi. Indieweb is part of it. My current metaphor is that my corner of the web is a scrapbook, where I can write, and glue stuff I find online, and pictures I snap, and each piece can perhaps be interacted upon. The UI/UX isn't there for it yet, but I can abstract it away in my head. It's only fair that most users won't. The fan-swarms move following the paths of lesser friction: that's (partially) why they flocked through...

@dansup I skimmed. Starting from chapter 6 means I had little clue about most of the terminology. Why do you say it's complicated to support that mode? Is it because servers would end up being "mailmen" for stuff they don't understand/care for?

@dansup yes and no. What I was hoping to find when I started using mastodon (and a little bit of other fediverse things) was to have an "account" I could move around and attach "things" to. Makes perfect sense that a masto client can't properly work as a lemmy client. But I wish I could have some signatures "in" my account to access things around. Authentication would be a mess to say the least, I know.

TBH, I'm still trying to wrap my head around some activitypub concepts. The interoperability of the different projects in particular. It would be cool if I had a single "account" (identity?) for all, possibly with facets/masks/aspects, but as far as I understand things, I need different accounts for each thing to aggregate stuff in different "places" with different UI/UX/functionality

@EU_Commission I hope the EU will also include plans to start producing some batteries within our borders.

@EU_Commission These themes are pretty bland and boring. However, one of them is "birds". In Italy, bird is an euphemism for penis. So, people of the EU, you know what to do: bird is the word.
