@dansup @welshpixie @pixelfed TBH I think a more worthwhile challenge to overcome may be trying to steer the fediverse to the user-centric path, rather than the instance-centric one it seems to have landed on.
I can see the challenges, especially with a media heavy instance type like pixelfed, but more flexibility for users to move on from instances if they disagree with admin blocking choices, or just generally dislike the server, would be a more worthwhile goal.

I can see the challenges, especially with a media heavy instance type like pixelfed, but more flexibility for users to move on from instances if they disagree with admin blocking choices, or just generally dislike the server, would be a more worthwhile goal.
