@drmaddkap What's frustrating is that a driver for touch capacitive external screens on Android EXISTS. (Or at least the foundation of one.)
This is what Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are.
But why work towards a universal screen solution when producers can lock people into an upgrade cycle of tablets to ensure a predictable revenue stream?

@drmaddkap Short answer: capitalism
Long answer: it takes a non-trivial amount of work to ensure scaling can be done gracefully without breaking an app.
Yes, they could just have some generic scaled view like iPads did w/ iPhone apps, but that is a terrible experience compared to the competition (like selling a car without AC but with windows that'll never break).
And ultimately, manufacturers are out to make more money, not cut into potential profit margins for the sake of utility.

@drmaddkap Actually, some research has shown that, statistically, westerners are (historically) more likely to experience auditory hallucinations with negative biases, while easterners and Africans are (historically) more likely to have auditory hallucinations with positive biases suggesting some cultural influence on the phenomenon.

@drmaddkap if it’s a speciality medicine, there are sometimes rebate programs you can enroll in that offer discounts based on income and your existing insurance provider.
It’s insane 😞
