@darius So does the page that it takes you to on your instance include posts that your instance is otherwise unaware of? Or have they just made it harder more generally to see posts that haven't federated to you?

If the person I'm talking to chose to have a public conversation, I need to have a good reason to go private.

If I start a conversation in public, I expect it to stay there.

Mostly, for me, it comes down to having experienced a lot of abuse that hid itself in DMs.

@darius @evan Maybe it's just me being non-NT, but if a conversation starts in public, I'm not going to take it private unless there's a very good reason to do otherwise.
