thanks both for the clarifications, but I'm not sure I completely understand yet (either the behaviour of Jesse's share button or the follow on consequences).
Does the "share to Mastodon" button turn the entire blog into a Mastodon post? I assume not, rather that it produces a post with a link.
In that case, replying to a post with a link seems different to me than leaving a comment on an external website blog.
