@Gargron What CDN are your using or plan to use? AWS? Google Cloud? Defeats the purpose of ‘decentralization’, don’t you think? You want to get away from the clutches of Big Tech by running your own instance but you’re ultimately relying on AWS or Google Cloud and are using their services.
Correct me if that’s a wrong way of thinking 🙂

Thank you @feditips. This instance has been up since September with 14 users and I see 218+ and 134% interactions in the dashboard. Thought that should be fair enough to get items showing up on the Explore tab.

I see. So, switch off trends? i.e. remove the check mark against the the ones marked as x (in PIC)

@Gargron I too believe in this platform. But please also listen to the suggestions made in github esp the server issues: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/9567#issuecomment-1301430293 Because of this, there are always comments about moving to Pleroma in the mastodon subreddit. Please understand that not everyone running an instance has the funds that you have. This is not taking away all the hard work that and other maintainers of Mastodon already do.

Hello @feditips Could you please point a link (if already posted) or share how this Trending widget works? Someone told me that if I make a post with#caturday on my instance, when it trends, it will show up. I have but it has never shown up. My instance is 3 months old. Is the data collated from the entire fediverse? Or how my instance is federated or relayed? Today these three topics are showing on the trending widget. These hastags have never been used on any post of my instance. Weird.
