@Gargron The nearly 500 new servers is the big number to me. People always worry about how the big user count on the Twitter migration collector servers looks for a federated project, but that's hundreds of new places that might become the home of someone who didn't abandon Mastodon up front because there was an easy choice of first server.

@Gargron I know Mastodon has always had a small set of developers with you doing the bulk of it. Is that for lack of volunteers, or do you prefer it that way? Either way, this might be a good time to revisit/explore ways to spread the load without compromising what got it to this point.
