I am not keen of quoted posts because I like the idea of a platform that forgets.
Quoted posts would take the control over my posts out of my hand.
Editing, deleting, reposting - all these dearly loved features of Mastodon would be at risk.

@Mastodon Normally I use #metatext but gave the new #mastodonapp update for iOS a try. Nice design and I can edit posts which Metatext can‘t.
What I don’t like:
- Pinned toots do not show in profiles. This sometimes buries some really great but older content 😏👎
- Visibility of toots can still not be set to „unlisted“. For me not a big thing as I compose longer threads in the browser. But it‘s a useful feature which was implemented for a good reason in mastodon and should be part of the M-app.
